He taught us about how he became an author. When he was a kid, he loved nature and now he writes about animals and nature.
This kicks off a new unit that we will be working on about writing non-fiction books. Keep an eye out for more information to come home about this new writing unit.
With the Book Fair coming, I thought it would be great timing to share this article from Scholastic. You might be able to pick up some of the titles at the Book Fair!
On Friday, our class will go to a presentation by the Beverly Public Library Children's Librarian, Kate Carpine. She will talk about the summer programming at the library.
Also don't forget the summer reading challenge that the PTO is sponsoring.
This week Nola shared a business card she got from her vet about a Great Dane Service Dog project. It was great to look at the puppy cams. It lead to an awesome conversation about the puppies vs. eaglets and comparing the two cameras. Here is the link to the cams: http://www.servicedogproject.org/
